Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on 20 July 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As an official for the Space and Defense Department Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering all aspects of space from NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space firms and tourism in space. Kristin, mother of NASA astronauts and an enthusiastic space lover, grew up immersed in the industry. She worked for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Trump and Biden Administrations. Over the course of that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the corona virus pandemic, and two other administrations' efforts. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the president and vice-president. The reporter even took a top-secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Before joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin as adept at filmmaking, launched Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentaries, with clients like Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
