Asha Ashanti is an Afro-Jamaican actress, screenwriter, author and singer. She is known for her role as Melody Jones drummer of Josie and the Pussycats on CW's Riverdale. Asha also stars as Zadie Wells on Netflix's hit show Locke and Key. Asha is also the writer of HURRICANE SUMMERTIME and SONGS IF IRIE. Asha Bromfield's debut novel takes the reader on a journey to Jamaica as well as the world of a young girl who struggles to come to terms both with herself and her family. It is set against the backdrop of hurricanes. Tilla's entire existence is dedicated to winning her father's acceptance. Her father is absent every six month to return to Jamaica.
